Congratulations to Gail Honeyman, as Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine continues its spectacular run in the bestseller charts where it is No.1 in the Sunday Times Paperback chart and the  E-Book Ranking for the eighth week running. It also remains No.1 in the Irish Paperback chart.

The novel has spent eight weeks in the paperback chart and a whopping 38 weeks in the E-Book Ranking. In the UK alone, it has now sold more than 178,000 copies in paperback as well as over 137,000 copies in e-book. Last month, it was the UK Official Top 50’s number one bestseller in all formats for three consecutive weeks, outselling all other titles across the fiction, non-fiction and children’s markets. It has also enjoyed significant international success, with rights sold in over 30 countries and more than 450,000 copies sold across all UK and Commonwealth territories and formats so far.

That’s not all…

Eleanor Oliphant has also been longlisted for the Women’s Prize for Fiction 2018, which was announced on International Women’s Day (8th March). The Women’s Prize for Fiction, previously known as the Baileys Prize for Fiction, and before that the Orange Prize for Fiction, ‘celebrates excellence, originality and accessibility in women’s fiction from throughout the world.’ Honeyman joins a list that contains both new and well-established writers – including Booker and Pulitzer winners – across a range of different genres, spanning four continents. This is such a wonderful achievement for Gail Honeyman and superb recognition for her unique book. We look forward to the shortlist being announced on the 24th April.
